beijing, shenzhen, technology everywhere, a lot of looking up, and the small moments between everything we were supposed to see.

A city that kept making me look up, at scale, at movement, at how much history and change can occupy the same frame.
Technology felt less like a distant promise and more like part of the pavement: visible, ordinary and moving quickly.
Drone deliveries, autonomous taxis, robotics and Huawei made the future feel strangely casual. The interesting part was not only what existed, but how naturally it seemed to fit into everyday life.

The speed, the scale, and how quickly something unfamiliar could become part of an ordinary day.
Not sharing a language turned small exchanges into puzzles made from gestures, screens, patience and laughter.
A second diary running quietly beside the official schedule, remembered through tables, shared dishes and trying something before knowing how to name it.

Buildings, interfaces, streets, details and the moments between everything we were supposed to see.
The ordinary scenes I assumed I would remember without help. Those are usually the first to blur.
